Hyundai Fleet of Cars to be Showcased at 2016 Delhi Auto Expo

As the 2016 Delhi Auto Expo is nearing its arrival, various automakers are preparing to present their respective cars at the event. In this list of brands, Hyundai is also set to showcase its lineup of upcoming cars that are due for launch in the Indian market in the near future. This Auto Expo is the most popular show for the automobile industry in India, which is going to be held in the month of February.

Let's take a look at these upcoming models along with their features that will soon make way to the Auto Expo:

Genesis

Unlike the Hyundai Genesis sedan, which was sold in the global markets earlier, the automaker will now roll out a whole new luxury sub-brand named Genesis in which various cars of different body styles will be launched one by one. Initially, G90 saloon will be offered, fitted with utlimate luxurious and comfort features, which can be seen in Maybach like superior leather upholstery and touchscreen tablets for the rear occupants. Later, G80 and G70 will also be launched.

It will be an all new premium SUV from Hyundai that will be poistioned between Creta and Santa Fe. The major rivals for the vehicle will include Honda CR-V, Chevrolet Trailblazer, VW Tiguan and Renault Koleos. Mechanically, it will be available in a petrol as well as diesel guise, followed by a fuel cell version that might be added to the lineup. Globally, the Tuscon is powered by either a 1.6 or 1.7 litre petrol engine along with a 2 litre diesel motor. Transmission is handled by a 6-speed manual and a 7-speed automatic tansmission unit.

Eon was introduced for the very first time in the year 2011 and since then it has never received any update. Earlier, the hatch was performing reasonably well, but after the arrival of Renault Kwid, the company felt that it was time to tweak the features of Eon so that it could gain audience acceptance once again. The facelift is expected to hit Indian shores sometime in mid 2016.

Hyundai Elantra is not new to the Indian market, but despite its success in the international markets, the car has not gained much sales here. Thus, the automaker is adamant to launch the refurbished version thia year. It is anticipated the India bound Elantra will be powered by a 1.6 litre MPI or a 1.4 litre T-GDI motor mated to a 7-speed DCT. Models like Toyota Corolla Altis, Skoda Octavia and Honda Civic are some of the major rivals for this vehicle.
