Hyundai India is definitely a big name in the Indian market, though in small car segment cars only that has names like Grand i10, Elite i20 and others as well. Now, the company is now making a move towards another niche that is MUV cars as market hold 21% sales percent of their sales. So, the company is working on a mysterious vehicle that is codenamed as IP according to the reports and is a MPV. However, the launch is nowhere near until the year 2017, but once done, then it would be taking the chances against the likes of Honda Mobilio, upcoming Renault Lodgy, Toyota Innova and other as well.
For now, the company sells only Hyundai Santa-Fe and that too does not have good track record of selling. Although Hyundai has confirmed the launch of ix25 compact SUV during this festive season in India. Talking about the mystery MUV, it will be available in both petrol and diesel with manual transmission as standard and automatic as an extra option.
Other features like exteriors and interiors haven't been revealed and as soon as we get them, you'll know too. But, the price of this MUV is expected to be around INR 7-12 Lac Ex-Showroom and that will definitely make it very competitive in the growing Indian market.
