Hyundai India has been the top performer in the market for the year 2014 with all of its cars doing extremely well. The year started with the launch of Xcent compact sedan which, became quite a popular entity among the customers and won many hearts with its lucrative design and power packed performance. However, the major attraction of the company was the launch of Elite i20 hatchback car which hasn't just broke all the records for the Hyundai itself, but has become the Indian Car of the Year 2014 as well. Now, the company has confirmed one more launch of the Indian market that is its newly launched global compact SUV ix25 which was launched in the China in the month of October.
The ix25 crossover has already been spied testing on the Indian roads and the company is very keen to make this car as popular as others. Cosmetically, the car will be very similar to the China launched version, though the engine specifications will be kept India centric. The engines offered in it will be 1.4 Litre and 1.6 Litre Petrol units that will be borrowed by Hyundai Verna sedan.
Post its launch, the car will be taking on the cars like Renault Duster, Ford EcoSport, Fiat Avventura, Nissan Terrano and others as well. Also, the price of the car will be placed nearly between INR 8-12 Lac to make it fit for the cut throat market competition.
