India Bound Maruti Suzuki Wagon R Launched

Maruti Suzuki is the one among all, who is taking this demand very serious as it has launched the Celerio ZXI AMT in India today as well as also working to build the AMT version of its Swift, Wagon R and Dzire for our country. Recently, Suzuki has set up the Wagon R with Automated Manual Transmission in Indonesia, where this model is known as Wagon R GS comprising Auto Gear Shift.

Priced around INR 5.5 Lac, if reports are to be believed, the hatchback is available in the Indonesian market in three trim levels, such as GX, GS and GL including 8 color options. Named as Maruti Suzuki Wagon R Stingray, this same model is already running on the Indian ways excluding AMT technology. Here, the runabout gets power from a 1.0 litre k10B engine. After the Celerio and Alto K10 AMT launch, there are anticipation that the Wagon R Stingray might be the next one to be introduced in the Indian automobile market with the same system and then after, the rest ones are likely to be released by Maruti Suzuki.

Reportedly, the Wagon R AMT seems to get higher price than its current model by INR 30,000 to INR 40,000, which is currently on sale in India between the range of INR 4.2 Lac to INR 4.8 Lac. The new version is expected to be launched in India by the end of this ongoing year.
