India Speed Week 2016 (ISW)To Be Organized In Kolkata From December 9-11

Elite Octane Inc. has confirmed a 3-day drag racing event popular as the India Speed Week 2016 (ISW) in Kolkata. The event is going to be held from December 9-11, 2016 at the national and international airstrip in Kolkata, under the governance of the Federation of Motor Sports Clubs of India (FMSCI). At the event, the competitors like drag racing teams and biking enthusiasts will rub their shoulders to prove themselves foremost in the participated contestants, in several auto major segments and categories.

Mr. Amit Modi, chairman, India Speed Week, while announcing the event, said “We are thrilled to announce an event so grand. We plan to exhibit this large scale affair by showcasing the best in drag racing, auto exhibitions, adventure sports and entertainment across the three days of India Speed Week. The flag-off the India Speed Week will observe the presence of various personalities apart from talented participants include John Abraham, Anil Kapoor, Jackie Shroff and Baichung Bhutia. Both the bikes and cars genres will be categorized into subcategories on the primary aspect of class and engine displacement. Expect this, various machines which should be the examples of multiple stages of engine and customization from the replacement of mundane filter and header changes to turbochargers and NOS-settlements in vehicles.

The Behala Flying Club with a 1km-long airstrip is being suggested as a backdrop to paint the history on it at the impending 2016 India Speed Week show. While, the most-talked drag racing should be materialized in the quarter mile format and the quirky one, who will take lesser time to complete the sprint will be the winner in the respective segment. As far as safety considered, the safety arrangements encompass rescue, firefighting and medical support for the competitors and gathered spectators. The Federation of Motor Sports Clubs of India is taking the responsibility of complete security and safety at the event.
