Indian Motorcycle Launches 2016 Springfield

All set to roar against the road-king, Harley Davidson, Indian Motorcycle has launched its 2016 Springfield in USA. Although getting the emissions certificate for the tourer like a month ago, it has not been spotted till now. Gaining aesthetically adorable body dynamics, this new Springfield claims to offer smooth handling over the rough terrains.

The best part of this 2016 variant is that the machine, in spite of having a 'bagger' styled fashion, can take a conversion to a naked cruiser in a couple of minutes with no specific tools required. One can easily detach the screen, tough panniers and the pillion couch as well.

Mechanically, the Springfield holds the Indian's Thunder stroke 111 air-cooled V-twin mill, which is equal to 1811cc. The bikes generates 161.1NM of peak torque while the horsepower figures are not out yet by the company. When it comes to the styling, the bike flaunted the hefty charm for what a cruiser is said for i.e. for the epic looks to its best. It has hard bags on both side at the rear portion whereas at the front there's a tall windscreen. As per the different physiques of different riders, the foot pegs can be adjusted to their comfort.

As expected, the 2016 Indian Springfield is not a lightweight motorcycle and weighs around 388kg. Featuring standard ABS, a wide range of other accessories are also there such as diversified handlebars and exhausts. The smart move made by the company is of the removal of certain parts from the bike as aforementioned. It completely acquires the naked chief Classic look when unclipped.
