One of the oldest American manufacturer, Indian Motorcycle is all geared to unload its Scout Bobber model on the Indian shores in November month this year. The pre-bookings for the model has already begun at the brand’s authorized dealerships in the country at the token amount of INR 50,000.
Evidently, the Indian Scout Bobber is a stripped down version of the Indian Scout cruiser, which underpinned the similar Scout frame. Moreover, the Bobber gets matte black painted wheels, frame, exhaust and the engine, along with chrome touch. Other major highlights include a new Indian emblem on the fuel tank and redesigned riding posture due to revised handlebar and seat, footpegs bits.
Under the fuel tank, borrowed 1133 cc liquid-cooled V-twin engine is responsible to handle propelling duties. The mill is integrated with a six-speed transmission which dispatches all the generated power output including 100bhp and 97 Nm of torque to the rear wheel. The shocks absorbing job is under the concern of updated cartridge-type telescopic forks and lowered rear suspension. The ground clearance of the Bobber is around one-inch lesser than Scout cruiser, owing to lower rear suspension.
Desirables can also get accessories like pillion back rest, slip-on exhaust, saddlebags, spoke wheels, engine guards, bar-end mirrors and ape-style handlebars, on offer as optional extra. Well, the confirm launch date has not been revealed yet the company, but it is expected to make it emergence in the Indian biking industry in the first week of November.
