Indian Motorcycles have launched the 116 Stage 3 Big Bore Kit for its Thunder Stroke 111 V-twin engine. This new kit will enhance the performance of the Indian bikes available with the mentioned powertrain. The bikes which are loaded with Thunder Stroke 111 engine (1,861) and will be compatible with this new kit comprise the Indian Chief Dark Horse, Chief Classic, Chief Vintage, Springfield, Chieftain Dark Horse, Chieftain, Roadmaster and Roadmaster Classic.
With this kit, the owners will get a bump of 20 percent in generated power and 15 percent hike in peak twisting force as compared to churn out figures by the stock Thunder Stroke 111 engine.
The mechanical components which are included in this kit are new cylinders, big bore pistons, 60mm throttle body, Stage 3 camshafts, revised intake manifold, performance valve springs and heavy duty clutch springs. Though, to get the proper use of stage 3 kit’s performance the bike would also installed the Stage 1 Kit. A ‘Performance Air Cleaner’, ‘Thunder Stroke High Flow Air Cleaner’ and a slip-on exhaust are the components used in Stage 1.

In the global market, the Stage 3 kit is on sale at $1999 (Rs 1.29 lakhs), while no information regarding this performance enhancing kit is provided by the bike maker in India
