The Jaguar XE has won the heart of a million customers from distinct countries by awarded as the most beautiful car of the year 2014 at the 30th anniversary of Festival Automobile International in Paris. The design director of this company, Ian Callum came to receive the award in front of 600 VIPs and more than 60 media. Notably, the decision was taken on the basis of public vote, which counted over 100,000 from 59 different countries. By getting total 28 percent votes, this glamorous looking runabout defeated the likes of Mazda MX-5, Mercedes C Class Estate and Fiat 500X.
Head of Motoring at Telegraph Media Group, Erin Baker said, “Our discerning readers have always been fans of British luxury. The Jaguar XF and XJ are deserved winners, thanks in no small part of their eye catching design and the rewarding driving experiences they offer.” Previously, the sedan model was already crowned for the 'Best Production Car at the 2014 Paris Motor Show in October and hence, this time, the vehicle has gotten its second French award for the tremendous aspects.
The upcoming Jaguar XE will be powered by a 2.0 litre diesel engine delivering two output states for 161 bhp, 280 Nm and 178 bhp, 430 Nm, which is likely to be mated with a 6-speed manual or 8-speed automatic transmissions. On the other hand, the car would also include a 2.0 litre petrol as well as a 3.0 litre V6 engines to render the power outputs of 237 bhp, 340 Nm and 335 bhp, 450 Nm, respectively. Its delivery will be commenced from May 2015.
