KTM 390 Duke Flaunts Muscular Restyling During Trials: SPOTTED

Here’s the bigger boy!!! The upcoming KTM 390 Duke has been sneaked onto the cameras while performing the test rounds ahead of its official launch this autumn. It is now confirmed that the earlier image was captured at the Bajaj factory. The news about KTM Duke has been around since December 2015. If a treat like this someone gets after waiting for such a while, it is certainly worth a wait. The spied image here is the near production ready form of the motorcycle under discussion.

This time, the image of the test mule does involve major restyling factors than the previously spotted prototype, which was snapped in Spain last month. With a host of visual alterations, the upcoming Duke will cater a reshaped belly and side panels with an updated seat couch. The instrument cluster is going to be large this time, and the subframe has got some rework as well. Apart from the aforementioned, the bike assures a new headlamp carrying a multibeam unit, which we have noticed on the latest spied images of Bajaj Pulsar CS400.

The smaller version of the KTM Duke 390, the Duke 125 gains a beefier, triangular-shaped headlamp and a fresh edgy bodywork, which includes the cowls on either side of the fuel tank. They reach across the steel trellis frame and the mudguard ahead. On an interesting note, the bigger boy is a replica of its younger sibling in terms of frame and styling. Basically, the automaker has tried to give it muscular look that resembles the elder 1290 Super Duke. well, KTM has done justice to the design pretty much.

When it comes to the mini-Superduke powertrain, there are a lot of engine modifications as well in order to meet the norms of Euro-4 emissions. For a more efficient performance and stable combustion, the single-cylinder motor has been revamped accompanying the latest management systems, which yields an increased mileage.

If we consider the current Duke line-up worldwide, a bulk of changes is going to be done on the Duke 125, 200, and 250 as well. As far as the launch is concerned, expect the roadster to hit the markets next fiscal. Moreover, the prices will be marginally higher as well than the model currently on sale.
