Maestro Edge Becomes top selling scooter, Acquired Second Position in Scooter Segment

Hero MotoCorp enjoying a warm welcome of its flagship scooter- Hero Maestro Edge. The scooter, which was launched in the country back in September this year, has become the company’s top selling scooter. The scooter that comes in the market against to the Honda Activa, TVS Jupiter, Mahindra Gusto and others in the 110cc space, has been widely appreciated for its dynamic looks and riding comfort. Hero Maestro Edge acquired the second position in the scooter segment, while the Honda Activa is continuing with the first position.

Hero Maestro and Hero Maestro Edge duo crossed sales mark of 65,786 units for the October 2015. From the tech side, the Hero Maestro Edge is powered with an 110.9cc air-cooled four stroke single cylinder OHC motor returns 8.31 BHP of power at 8,000 RPM and makes 8.30 Nm of torque at 6,500 RPM. All the power send to the rear wheel via automatic transmission.

The Maestro Edge has a new digital-analog instrument console, redesigned headlamp, LED tail light, 5-spoke alloy wheels and 3D emblem that add more beauty in its look. The other features include boot light and under seat USB to the charge mobile phones. The suspension duties are taken care by a front telescopic, hydraulic shock absorbers at the front and unit swing with spring loaded hydraulic damper at the rear.

The scooter weighs 110 KG, that provides more stable ride. The scooter gets front 130mm front and rear drum that are integrated with Combi Brake System (CBS). The Maestro Edge offering in two variants- Maestro Edge LX (Rs. 49,000) and Maestro Edge VX (Rs. 50,700).
