Anand Mahindra, the chairman of Mahindra Group tweeted regarding the upcoming Jawa bikes one more time. The chairman was very excited mentioning about the imminent resurrection of the Jawa motorcycles. According to the reports, the development process of the Jawa bikes is likely to begin after this year and the motorcycles will be resurrected near the Jawa 250. Anand Mahindra posted a picture of biker standing in the rain in the tweet along with the quote, “Life isn’t about waiting for the storm to pass, it’s about learning to ride in the rain”. The image and tweet are clearly showing the return of the Jawa motorcycle in the country. Mahindra two-wheeler is the owner of the BSA and Jawa motorcycles. The motorcycles will get into the development process at the Pithampur plant in Madhya Pradesh, however, there is no other information has been announced by the company officially yet, we can expect the retro looking bikes in the upcoming time.

The retro style bike segment in the country is basically dominated by the Royal Enfield and it covers around 90% share in the Indian market. But now, the market will see a competitor in the form of the Jawa motorcycle from Mahindra.

Mahindra will introduce the Jawa bikes under the related brand names and not take the Mahindra badge. The Jawa 350 is established to introduce as the first Jawa offering in the country. Jawa 350 was introduced in the global markets in the year 2017. It obtains two engine choices that comprise a four-stroke, 400cc single cylinder engine, and a two-stroke 350cc twin cylinder engine. Although the two-stroke powertrain is banned in India, Mahindra can make the Jawa motorcycle to take Mojo’s 300 cc single cylinder engine delivering a peak power of 27 hp and a peak torque of 32 Nm. The engine comes mated to a six-speed gearbox. We expect that the bike must come in good and refined built quality with the likes of the Mojo.
