Maruti Baleno Sales Likely To Cross 75000 Units This Month

The premium hatchback from the India’s top ranking car maker, Maruti Suzuki is likely to sell over 75000 units in the month of June this year. It's a great achievement for the company that the Baleno is gaining good amount of demand day by day and now it will cross the milestone of prior mentioned sales figures, just in 8 months duration since its launch in October 2015.

As per the Autocar Professional, since now, the car maker has sold approx 64,263 units of Baleno. From which, around 10,004 units are the addition of last month to this total. On an average, Maruti manages to sell 260 counts of Baleno per day. Higher in demands, the petrol variants of the hatch is nearer to 70 percent of the total sale as compared to diesel variant. The one lakh units of Baleno have already been booked out of which 55,000 customers received their dream hatch. While the remaining dispatch of 45,000 units will take place after completing 6 months waiting period, because the production plants in Gurugram and Manesar, in spite of running at their full capacity are not able to produce that total of Baleno. Last hope of the automaker to complete this target is the new Sanand plant which will commence its operations sometime in early-2017.

On powering, Maruti Baleno comprises two engine variants- a 1.3 litre DDiS diesel engine and a 1.2 litre K-Series petrol engine. The diesel engine is capable of producing 83 bhp of power and 115 Nm of torque, while petrol engine churns 74bhp and 190 Nm of torque with the connected 5 speed transmission, it can be either manual or automatic transmission.
