Maruti To Ramp Up Production Of Baleno and Vitara Brezza

Maruti is facing a hardship in delivering the Vitara Brezza and Baleno model in the specific deadline and ends up extending the waiting list. Now reportedly, the company has decided to ramp up the production of its two anticipated models- the Brezza and the Baleno. Due to the focus on the manufacturing of these two models, the facility would struggle to manufacture the Swift and the Swift Dzire. The accelerated production of the cars will be carried away at the automaker’s Manesar and Gurugram facilities as the Gujarat plant is yet to become operational. Meanwhile, the company had to slow down the production of the Swift and the Dzire due to the rising demand of Brezza and Baleno in the market.

The response for the Brezza, particularly is overwhelming. The car successfully garnered around 40,000 bookings after the launch in less time. It also outsold EcoSport and gives it a tough competition in the compact SUV segment. Recently, the waiting period for the Brezza model has been extended to seven months. It is likely to be brought for delivery by the end of this year. This is good sign that the company has accelerated the productivity of the car as the customers have been waiting for a long time.

Meanwhile, the Baleno has been doing extremely well in the Indian market as well the International market. The car is now exported to different shores from the Indian facility under the “Make in India” tag. In a short period, the carmaker has registered over one lakh bookings. The India made Balno is going to launch in UK on June 1, 2016.

The automaker will bring the Swift and the Dzire to the production phase, one it is done with fulfilling the needs of the overwhelming bookings of the Brezza and Baleno models.
