Maruti Suzuki has just launched the Baleno model in India and the most talked-about thing it has is the retails price which it carries. Prior to the launch there were anticipations that its base variant could be offered at around INR 5.5 Lacs, but to everyone's surprise, the automaker decided to roll it out at just INR 4.99 Lacs. While we all are busy praising the fact that so many amazing features are on offer that too at such a reasonable amount, the prices may soon get a hike.

As per a recent market report, the company is soon going to revise the prices across the range. However, till Diwali, you can buy your Baleno at the current price tag. There isn't any information as to by how much amount it will go up, yet it is almost confirmed that the present rates are just an attractive offer owing to the festive season. Regarding this, Senior Vice President, Marketing &Sales, Mr Partho Banerjee stated, “This is an introductory offer. We are going to, very soon, revise the prices. In fact, on a lighter note it is more of a Diwali gift to our Indian customers from Maruti Suzuki.”

As of now, the pricing of Baleno has considerably affected its rival hatches like Hyundai Elite i20 and VW Polo. There have been a total of 12,500 enquiries for Baleno so far, that clearly shows how much popularity the model has gained through the aggressive promotions. It will be interesting to see what changes are made in the prices and whether this premium car will continue to be in such a huge demand even after Diwali.
