Maruti Suzuki will reportedly export its premium hatchback codenamed as the YRA, from India to the Japanese market. Likely to be launched in the second half of this ongoing year, the Maruti YRA will be available in 80,000 units initially. Total 60 percent units of this hatchback will be built in India for the foreign markets, including Europe, where its conceptual Suzuki iK-2 model has already been showcased at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show. At first, 5,000 units of the India built model will be sent to Japan.
In the Indian market, it will be available as the opponent of the VW Polo, Hyundai Elite i20 and the newly launched next generation Honda Jazz. Thanks to the lightweight global compact platform, making this runabout pretty light to bestow an appreciable performance on the way. The Maruti YRA will be powered by a 1.0 litre Boosterjet direct injection petrol engine and a 1.3 litre Multijet diesel engine. The oil burner mill will be borrowed from the Ritz and Swift.

On the outside, this car is expected to receive chrome underlined grille, fog lights, headlights with LED daytime running lights, wing mirrors along turn signals, rear spoiler and rear wiper. The vehicle will measure 4,023 mm in length, 1,920 mm in width, 1,450 mm in height and 2,520 mm in wheelbase.

However, its interior is presumed to be inspired by the Maruti Swift and Ciaz. Anticipated to be priced between INR 5.5 Lac to INR 8.5 Lac, the YRA promises to return an impressive fuel efficiency for the customers.
