Mercedes A Class facelift has been finally rolled out in India, thereby fulfilling its promise of introducing 15 cars in the year 2015. The car has been launched in both petrol and diesel variants at the retail price of INR 24.95 Lacs and INR 25.95 Lacs respectively. This hatch has received certain noticeable updates, which distinguish it from the outgoing version. Its images had been revealed a long time ago and there have been various instances of the car being displayed at popular platforms, the recent one being Thailand Motor Expo 2015.
Starting from the exterior, a host of tweaked features are found that include signature chrome grille, optional black alloy wheels, revised front & rear bumper, LED headlamps and DRLs, dual exhaust tips integrated into the tail light cluster, body colored wing mirrors, wider air intakes, new rear diffuser etc.

The cabin boasts of a wide variety of modern fitments like multi-functional steering wheel, leather upholstery, Apple Car Play, 8-inch COMMAND infotainment unit, and Mirror Link. The panoramic sunroof has been offered as a standard facility and new color schemes have been introduced for the interior segment.

The powertrain has not been modified at all in the newer version. The A180 variant is equipped with a 1.6 litre petrol unit that can efficiently generate 121Bhp and 200Nm of maximum output. Another one is the A200 model that is fitted with a 2 litre diesel motor making 134Bhp and 300Nm of output. Power is transmitted to the wheels via a 7-speed DCT unit.
