Bajaj Launches 220cc Pulsar and Avenger with ABS in India

In the direction of updating entire product lineup with the government mandate, ABS safety feature. Bajaj Auto has updated two of its flagships- the 2019 Pulsar 220 ABS, and the Avenger 220 series consisting products the Street 220 and Cruise 220. The Bajaj Pulsar 220 with ABS is priced at INR 1,05,250/-, dearer around INR 7600/- over the non-ABS version of the model. The later is on sale at INR 97,670/- (all prices ex-showroom, Pune).

On the other hand, one of the few entry-level cruisers in India, the Avenger 220 is now priced at INR 1,02,425/- for both the models. It's around INR 6700/- more expensive as compared to the standard non-ABS trim. Both the motorcycles in consideration did not hit the dealerships yet. Although, dealers have started accepting bookings for these updated Pulsar 220 ABS and Avenger 220 ABS, which are anticipated to deliver to their prospective buyers in coming weeks.

Both of these popular entry-level Bajaj flagships are armed with a single channel ABS as common fitment. It is the similar unit has already seen equipped with the range-topping models available in the market like the Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 and NS 200. Under the fuel tank, both the Pulsar 220 ABS and the Avenger 220 ABS sharing a similar powertrain, a single cylinder 220cc motor. However, the power output for both the bikes is tuned to serve their segments-sports and cruiser respectively. The former gets the churning power of 20.9 PS at 8500 RPM and 18.5 Nm of torque at 7000 RPM. while the latter uses the pump out the power of 19 PS at 8400 RPM and 17.5 Nm of torque at 7000 RPM.
The gearbox transmission for both models is a five-speed gearbox.
