Land Rover has recently rolled out the power packed Range Rover Sports SVR for the Indian market at the starting price of INR 2.12 Crores. It is the first offering by the brand that has been developed under Jaguar-Land Rover's Special Vehicles Operation Division. The term SVR stands for Special Vehicle Racing and hence the powertrain of this model is one of its major highlights apart from its elegant and highly luxurious elements. This performance oriented luxury car owns an aggressive stance and poses a great threat to the likes of Mercedes Benz ML63 AMG and Porsche Cayenne3 Turbo S.

Talking about the looks, it is a tweaked version of Range Rover Sport but at the same time houses freshly designed components like new front bumper, additional brake ducts as well as a rear spoiler that minimizes lift and drag. It has been designed intelligently so as to provide assistance in driving dynamics be it any type of road conditions. It will be available in 4 different colors to choose from. Safety of the occupants will be ensured via wide range of components like Active Roll Control System, Dynamic Active rear Locking Differential, air suspension, adaptive dampers, hydraulic pump, etc.

Discussing the mechanical portion, it is fitted with a 5 litre, V8 supercharged motor that can efficiently develop 542 Bhp of power along with a whopping peak torque amounting to 680 Nm. Transmission is taken care of by an 8-speed automatic gearbox with steering mounted pedal shifters. It accelerates to 100 km/h in just 4.5 seconds. Due to safety concerns, the speed is electronically restricted to 261 km/h.
