RE Himalayan to be Launched in November 2015, Expected Price INR 1.83 Lakhs

Royal Enfield is planning to launch its much-awaited Adventure Tourer motorcycle in the country in November 2015. As per the recent report from the house of Royal Enfield, the motorcycle is expected to be priced between INR 1.65 lakh to 1.85 Lakh. And, the motorcycle will be positioned below Continental GT and Classic 500 because the firm does not want to make it the leader of the company's product lineup. The RE Himalayan, was spotted several times during the testing over the Indian roads, is now ready to make it official appearance in the country.

In terms of design and body cues, the Royal Enfield Himalayan is an all-new motorcycle that is built on a new double cradle frame. The Adventure Tourer motorcycle gets a windscreen, off-road tyres, high mounted front and rear fenders, high rise handlebars and travel suspension. Moreover, the motorcycle gets a front telescopic suspension and rear monoshock setup, while the stopping duties will be taken care by front and rear disc brake. The Adventure range might be featured with Anti-lock Braking System.

The Royal Enfield Himalayan will be powered by an all-new single cylinder motor, carrying an engine displacement of 410cc, that will likely to be produced around a 28 BHP of power and 32 Nm of torque. And, the newly developed engine will have better noise, vibration and harshness than the current Royal Enfiled engines. The motor might be equipped with fuel injection system. Furthermore, the firm shares most of the parts with Continental GT and Thunderbird to make it competitively low cost.
