Renault and Nissan will Share the Same Platform for Their Hatchbacks

Renault India is very keen to increase their market in the country and striving very hard to thrive. The company has plans to make its share 5% from the current 2%. Now, the plans include the increment of the dealers all across the country and launching of 2 more vehicles within the next couple of years. The cars which are going to launch are MPV and a small car as these two markets produce heavy sales volume in India. The car will based on the famous CMF-A platform and will be shared by the Nissan's recently launched Datsun brand as well.

This small car project is code-named as the XBA and will be the rival of the small car leaders like Maruti Suzuki and Hyundai. The car will be priced near to INR 4.0 Lac that will make this car a true competitor of the cars like Wagon R, Grand i10, Ritz, Figo, Beat and many others as well. Though, the company needs to provide the quality and post-sales as they did with the Duster. The CMF-A platform will also be shared with the Nissan for its small cars and those will be launched under that Datsun brand.

The Renault however, has the complete range of vehicle in India with Koleos, Scala, Pulse, Duster and Fluence, but none of the car except the Duster has been significant in terms of sales. So, the company is trying to make an effort in the MPV with Lodgy and small car segment with these supposed to be done launches.
