Renault Duster, the car which introduced a new, hybrid and much needed category in India has got more punch with the introduction of 4 wheel drive option. Duster has been proved to be the game changer in the Indian automotive industry where a lot of people wish to have a robust car which can fulfill the duties of an SUV. Till its launch people were bound to choose from a much powerful SUV like Mahindra Scorpio and Tata Safari which were power-packed but a bit heavy on pocket.

Renault-Nissan alliance plant located in Chennai is currently producing the Duster 4x4 with the badge of Dacia and is being exported in Ireland and UK. Now the 4x4 version of Duster is all set to launch in India as well by the end of the current financial year 2014. The 4x2 version of the car is available in petrol and diesel engine options. However, the same engines will be made available in the 4 wheel drive trim with less possibilities of introducing petrol 4x4. With 1.5 liter; 107 BHP diesel and 1.6 liter; 105 BHP petrol, the car could become a great choice to buy.
