As hailed by many for being one of the most luxurious cars in the world, the Mercedes-Benz S-Class is from the top Mercedes-Benz line-up. The car is launched earlier this month and created a different mark for itself. The exterior you can find some changes and yes, they are done as well. The appearance of the Mercedes is not tweaked much. The changes can be found with the addition of new crystal-look tail lamps, a new DRL signature, new headlamps with full LED lighting, reprofiled bumpers, split horizontal chrome louvers with a new grille and new 5-spoke alloy wheels.
Coming to inside, it has two new high-resolution 12.3 inch displays, fully digital cockpit, three different display styles (“Classic”, “Sporty” and “Progressive”), a new steering wheel, driver navigation system, touch-sensitive Touch Control buttons and the infotainment system can also be operated through the touchpad with a controller in the centre console. Further, the sumptuous cabin in the finest quality leather and the Silk Beige/Espresso Brown treatment with open-pore wood make the car look extremely amazing.
It is operable through bends without driver with the help of Merc’s Active Distance Control DISTRONIC and Active Steering Assist, it is also helpful in maintaining the distance between vehicles. Further, it has radar-based safety systems. The driver needs to keep hands on the wheel, no longer activity can lead to Active Emergency Stop Assist. It turns on the warn oncoming traffic and makes the Mercedes-Benz emergency call system enable, in case of requirement. Mercedes S-Class follows tailback for stop-and-go traffic, autonomous emergency braking, Evasive Steering Assist, Active Lane Keeping Assist and Active Blind Spot Assist. Active Parking Assist proves to be helpful for drivers.
The back seat is extremely cushiony and supremely comfortable. The multiple functions are provided with the car accessed using remote control. The tiny button near the seat is for reclines to the max, pushes the co-passenger seat forward, and pops out the leg support to provide a classy experience. The softly sprung suspension setup makes the car wallow.

The S350d is powered by a new inline 6 cylinder diesel engine producing a peak power of 286 bhp and a peak torque of 600 Nm. It sends the drive to the rear wheels through a 9-speed transmission. The engine also follows BS-VI emissions norms. With the 2 tonnes of weight, it can run from idle to 100 km/h in just 6.0 seconds. You will get paddle shifters if you want it to use. The front seat doesn’t get a message and cooled seat functioning like the rear.
The new luxury car is priced at Rs. 1.33 Crore (ex-showroom). With paying off, you will get a stellar rear seat experience, well-crafted cabin, driver assistance technologies, an array of safety and BS-VI compliant car. At this price range, obviously, the customization option is better to choose. Mercedes provides Black and Silk being/Espresso Brown option in upholstery. It has 5 colors to choose from and a sole 5-split spoke 18-inch alloy is also available.
