Royal Enfield Thunderbird 350X Introduced with ABS, Priced at INR 1.63 Lakh

Royal Enfield Thunder 350X that is the new introduction to the brand’s lineup has got the safety tech of dual-channel ABS. For this going to be a mandatory feature soon, the company is asking for the price amount of INR 1.63 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). It will cost you INR 7,000 costlier over the standard variant. As reported from dealer sources, the ABS-equipped Thunderbird 350X has reached to dealerships across the country and one can register for the same as the bookings have already been commenced.

The new Royal Enfield Thunderbird X series that includes the Thunderbird 350X and 500X was proposed for the Indian audience back in February 2018. It is a modern take on the cruiser (Thunderbird X) with the newness of a flat handlebar, seat and significant riding posture. Also, the tubeless tyres that are shod on the new 9-spoke black alloy wheels are the first in Royal Enfield feature. Other than the Thunderbird 350X, the 500X variant too is slated to revised soon as early as next month with the rider’s aids (Dual-Channel ABS), as suggested from dealers.

In the lineup, the models which have gone through the bikemaker’s exercise of complying its motorcycles with the upcoming more stringent government regulations are the Classic Signals 350, the Classic 500, Himalayan and the Classic 350 in Gun Metal Grey.

The Thunderbird X series is a perfect blend of bright colour schemes and blacked out cycle parts and engine components. Beneath the fuel tank, the young and sporty cruiser packs a 346 cc single-cylinder, air-cooled engine as beating heart that pumps 19 bhp and 28 Nm of peak torque. The generated power figures are utilized via a mated 5-speed gearbox. The modern Thunderbird (the X models) suspends on telescopic forks up front with dual shock absorbers at the rear. While to control the bike there are disc brakes at both wheels.

This week, the Indian biking industry is going to be witnessed something new and existing as the most awaited RE 650 twins, the Interceptor and the Continental GT are scheduled to launch on November 15, 2018. On the same day, the brand’s yesteryear’s rival Jawa Motorcycles is also set to hit the market to under Royal Enfield. We are impatient to see these rivals and their competition in the segment.
