Keeping the taste of Indian car enthusiasts in its mind, the Czech automobile manufacturer Skoda seems to be cooking something really interesting this time. However, nothing has been officially lightened up by the company yet, but it is rumored that the automaker is considering the vRS variant of the Octavia for the Indian car segment.
As of now, it is unfair to pass any comment about its specification, but, if the car will carry out the same features much like the international unit then we can expect these attachments like both petrol and diesel trims, alluring design and contemporary technical attributes here in the country.

Starting with the powertrain, the petrol motor will be powered by a 2.0-litre turbo unit that is capable of doing 0-100 kmph run in just 6.8 seconds with a huge power of 220 PS. On the other hand, the diesel engine will come packed with the same displacement unit that currently is available under the hood of regular Octavia and can sprint from 0-100 kmph in near 8.1 seconds with a power of 184 PS.
While the later can hit up to 232 kmph of top speed, the former can make slightly more with 248 Kmph. Furthermore, both the units could be featured with either six-speed manual or six-speed automatic or both.

On the mechanical front, the international unit flaunts front bumper, a large front grille integrated with vRS badge, honeycomb air intakes, Bi-Xenon headlight, a rear spoiler and much more. Apart from the 128 mm of ground clearance, it has got measured 4685 mm in length, 1814 mm in width, 1449 mm in height, and a wheelbase of 2680 mm.
As soon as you enter the cabin, you will be embraced by an all-new black color scheme that is spreaded all around including dashboard, steering wheel, bucket seats, door plates, etc. In fact, the badge of vRS has been scattered here and there along with gears knob, 3-spoke multi-function steering wheel and the floor mats as well.​
