Skoda Released Sketches of its Upcoming Kodiaq

After making the nomenclature of its upcoming 7-seater SUV, Kodiaq, the Czech automobile manufacturer Skoda has finally released a set of sketches of the same unit. While the carmaker is thinking to make its world premiere in October at the 2016 Paris Motor Show, the launch will happen in early next year.

The sketches look so much identical to the concept design of VisionS, which was earlier launched at the 86th Geneva Motor Show in March. Along with the sketches, Skoda has also divulged some details of this upcoming model.

According to the company, the new crossover will come out with a best in class boot space together with foldable third row seats. Moreover, the images did not give away too much information even so it is likely to be got some striking features inside the cabin such as 3D instrument panel into two section (driver and front passenger) along with a large screen and four vertical AC vents.

Skoda Kodiak at the rear end

For what it's worth as well as we aren't certain about mechanical specs, but some reports have been suggesting that the Kodiak will be powered by the same engine range, which is recently offered with the new Superb. If media reports are to be believed, the India bound Skoda Kodiak will make its appearance by the end of 2017.

Bernhard Maier, Chairman of the Skoda said, “We’ve seen for some time that the SUV segment has experienced the strongest growth in the market.” Further added, “That was the reason for Skoda to decide to invest in this segment. There is already major demand for the Yeti, and we hear from existing customers and from those that want to be customers that they would like to see a Skoda SUV.”
