Sneak Peek: KTM 1290 Super Duke GT, An Adventure-Tourer

Well, here comes the best ever thing what exactly you are waiting for. Although, it is on its way, but it is expected to appear soon on your way. KTM is rumored to work over another high-engined motorcycle. The rumors become real when we have received a spy shot of the upcoming motorcycle. The spied motorcycle is expected to be based over the KTM 1290 Super Duke R and 1290 Super Adventure. The spotted motorcycle is the Duke R base tourer motorcycle, christened as KTM 1290 Super Duke GT. This would be directly rivaling with the Ducati and BMW's Adventure tourer motorcycles.

The technical specifications of the KTM 1290 Super Duke GT would be derived from the elder brothers. The Adventure-tourer motorcycle would be designed around a Tubular space frame, which is made up of molybdenum steel carrying a powertrain of 1301cc displaced engine. The chassis would be further incorporated with Semi-active suspensions, catered by the WP. The camouflaged motorcycle doesn't reveal much information about the components and styling acquired, but most of the components are likely to be shared with the Super Duke R.

The frame of the spotted motorcycle would be more adequate which helps for better luggage carrying purpose and the bars would become wider to provide an upright riding position for the rider. The KTM 1290 Super Duke GT has been shot, while it was testing near the KTM's testing facility located in Spain. The 1301cc displaced engine churns out 180 horsepower, which really sounds crazy. The upcoming Adventure-tourer motorcycle will definitely prove itself as an exceptionally fun motorcycle for the skilled and professional riders.

The Austrian manufacturer is patiently working over the KTM 1290 Super Duke GT and one can expect to witness the model live at the upcoming INTERMOT or EICMA Motorcycle show, which will be going to take place in the last quarter of the fiscal year, 2015.
