Suzuki Gixxer SF and Gixxer Limited SP Edition Variants Might Launch Soon

Reportedly, Suzuki Motorcycles is likely to launch new limited edition variants of the Gixxer SF and the Gixxer in India. Going to be offered for both the naked Gixxer and the fully faired SF model, these new special models will be christened as Gixxer SP Edition. Well, the official launch date and the pricing for these trim has not been officially revealed yet. However, the recently leaked postures of the SP Edition trims make us believe that the imminent launch might take place sometime in the coming festive season.

From the postures, the unveiled new Gixxer SP trims get painted with special matte grey color and featuring a kind of checkered flag graphics on the fairing of the Gixxer SF and on the front fender of the Gixxer. Besides this, the other highlighted features on the apparel are the ‘SP Edition’ badge placed around the Gixxer moniker on the both bikes. The red and black dual tone theme seats that perfectly matched up with the similar red reflector strip on the alloy wheels to enhance the sportier character of the Gixxer siblings.

New SP Edition Suzuki Gixxer

As far as the powertrain concerned, the Gixxer SP Edition duos would hardly witness any mechanical changes on the engine assembly of the bikes. The ongoing Gixxer siblings get power from the single cylinder, air-cooled engine having the displacement of 155cc. The motor is capable of producing the max power of 14.6bhp and delivering the peak torque of 14Nm with the mated 5-speed gearbox. The equipped Suzuki Eco Performance(SEP) technology promises to offer the claimed fuel economy of over 50Km/l.

Apart from this, what will be offered in the physical form of these special SP Edition Gixxer model, can only be ensured once the bikes are launched in the market. Moreover, the posters unveil the pictured new Gixxer SP trims are fitted with the rear disc brakes which means the bikes will be based on the top end rear disc brake variant of the Gixxer which has been introduced a couple of months ago.

On pricing, the new limited Gixxer models will receive a slight hike over the current asking price of both the fully faired SF and the naked Gixxer.
