Suzuki, the Japanese automaker, is recalling two of its well popular Sportbikes- Suzuki GSX-S1000 and GSX-S1000R from the US market because of some technical malfunction that resulted in a potential brake fluid leakage from the front brake calipers. Nevertheless, there's a heavy sigh of relief to the Indian owners of these bikes as the Japanese manufacturer asserted that the sports Tourers sold in the country won't be affected by this recall.
Overall 600 units will be recalled in total from, which 489 units will be of Suzuki GSX-S1000 that were produced during July 8, 2015 and August 24, 2015. Alongside this, 111 units of Suzuki GSX-S1000F manufactured between July 21, 2015 and July 27, 2015 will get a recall too. The main reason behind this recall is that these bikes were found with faulty seal attached in the front brake piston caliper. As a result, it led to the leakage of brake fluid defecting the braking performance and increasing the wrecking risk.
Earlier in September 2015, the brake fluid leak glitch was first noticed by a dealer in the US. Afterwards, Suzuki's headquarters had been reported with those affected braking components. The main cause detected by the service engineers was the surface treatment chemicals in October and the Superbikes were put for a recall by the manufacturer after that month. On reaching the mid November, almost 52 incidents of brake fluid leakage were being received by Suzuki.

Though, it is pretty clear that no malfunctioned units will be delivered to India but, still there is a slight chance that a couple of faulty units might be merchandised to the country.
