Suzuki GSX-S1000 Siblings Expected Indian Launch in June 2015

The newly-launched super-sports siblings from the Japanese motorcycle manufacturer might be turning towards Indian track anytime soon in the coming months. The Suzuki Motorcycles has launched a commuter segment sports motorcycle named as Suzuki Gixxer, a naked street-fighter and by seeing the fan-following of the aforementioned; the firm has recently introduced a faired version, named as Suzuki Gixxer SF. The Suzuki Gixxer SF was launched on 7th April, 2015 and priced at Rs 83,439 (Ex-Showroom Delhi). The bookings have already commenced for the newly joined product in the Indian portfolio.

While the launching of the faired version, the firm has proclaimed that they are looking to expand the Indian product portfolio with the introduction of premium segments motorcycles. Mr. Atul Gupta, Executive Vice President of Suzuki Motorcycles India, says, "Going forward, our focus would be on 150 cc and above bikes. Our products will be towards niche segment bikes. We intend to focus on products for young and young-at-heart customers. There is a severe competition in the mass segment bikes. Your bottom lines don't get affected while in the niche segment, even though you sell less units, you can earn money."

The firm is planning to launch two new Superbikes which will be joining the crew of the Hayabusa and GSX-R motorcycles. The upcoming Superbikes are Suzuki GSX-S1000 and GSX-S1000F. Both of these are the faired and naked siblings offered by the firm. They are sharing similar mechanism, as both are featuring the very same in-line-four-cylinder motor configuration carrying an engine displacement of 999cc. The liquid-cooled engine is mated to a 6-speed Constant mesh transmission. The 999cc displaced engine is tuned to deliver a churning power of 145 BHP @ 9500 RPM.

The styling given to both these roadster sports motorcycles are undoubtedly seems to be an eye-candy for the trespassers. The Suzuki GSX-S1000 is a naked super sports roadster and the GSX-S1000F is loaded with hefty fairing giving a full-fledged sporty look. Both these siblings are the unmistakable products designed by the Japanese motorcycle manufacturer, carrying a racing DNA in the mechanism. However, let's wait for another official announcement to come our way disclosing the launching date of the upcoming super sports motorcycles.
