Suzuki Hayabusa's sales graph boosted up; Prices Slash by 2.5 Lakh

Lately, Suzuki has announced the assembling of completely knocked down (CKD) counterpart of its flagship Superbike, Hayabusa at the Gurgaon, Haryana-based facility. This move proved as a plus for the giant and this icon’s sales graph raises drastically. It has also been observed that brought up from CKD route, Hayabusa prices will be altered with the reduction of 2.5 lakh from INR 16 lakh to 13.57 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).

A keen look over Suzuki Hayabusa’s sales during last few months will make you aware with the plunge in sales figures. Until February 2016, the average of the sold bikes was between three and six units. Rolled over price deduction in March, has completely changed the numbers, it was something like 18, 13, 17 and 15 units in the respective months of March, April, May, and June.

As per the officials, the mechanicals of the India assembled Hayabusa will be unchanged. The machine will be powered by the same four-cylinders, liquid-cooled DOHC motor with the engine displacement of 1340cc. The oil burner is claimed rated to spit out the maximum power of 195 bhp and a peak torque of 154 Nm. This engine assembly is in collaboration with the six-speed constant-mesh transmission to send the all generated power to the rear wheel. While accelerating on the top speed , the motorcycle has been stopped by the equipped disc brakes components on the both wheels. Whereas, suspension duties have been performed by USD front fork and link-type rear suspension.

As much we know, this Hayabusa offering from the Japanese bike maker is the most popular superbike comparing to other available vehicles in the Indian motoring market. Its nearest competitor Kawasaki Ninja-ZX14R beside being more equipped not received that comparable sale. The higher price tag of around Rs. 4 lakh is the main reason behind this Kawasaki’s loss. Basically, the Decision to assemble Suzuki Hayabusa locally has proved out in favor of the giant as per the showcased sales figures.
