Suzuki To Launch Burgman Street At Delhi Auto Expo 2018

Suzuki is ready to debut its premium scooter for India named the Burgman Street at the Auto Expo 2018. The name Burgman is attached to the Suzuki’s flagship scooter and the company produces 600, 400, 250, 200, and 125cc scooter globally. It is the first time when the company will bring the Burgman brand name to India and expand the range of premium scooters which are designed indigenously to gather more customers.

Although engine specifications are still not out, we can expect a 125cc motor to be taken from the Suzuki Access 125. The possibility also suggests that the company can feature a 150cc engine which can be designed exclusively for this purpose only. Recently, the Vespa 150 and the Aprilia SR150 are only scooters carrying 150cc in India.

After the Kinetic Blaze, the Burgman Street will be the first maxi-scooter going to appear in the Indian market. The scooter is expected to come equipped with a disc brake at the front-end, a fully digital instrument cluster, a 12V charging socket, an LED tail-lamp, a telescopic fork, a multi-function key slot, tubeless tyres, and generous under seat storage.

Suzuki Burgman Street

The Burgman series always concentrate on comfort first rather than sporty look and we can expect the same from the Burgman Street in the Indian market as well. The images hint that the scooter will not be using fat tyres but the rim size at the back side can be large and take a 14-inch unit which only available on the Aprilia SR 150.

Same like the family, we can expect from Street to have styled look and a unique front-end due to an uncommon windscreen and a large apron. With the tag of Burgman family, the seat will be comfortable with the inclusion of pillion pads and a pronounced step. It seems like the Suzuki Gixxer and the Street will have the same mirror styling and shroud exhaust as well. Competing against the Aprilia SR150, we can expect the scooter to be priced at Rs. 70,000 in India.
