Tata Hexa Variant Wise Details Touched Online

Seems like, Tata Motors is in a mood to release its all-new SUV in a phased manner. First, it hinted little about the car with its name at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show, that was a concept design only. Later on, the automaker displayed the SUV at the 2016 Auto Expo, but this time, a fully production unit of the car has ripped-off the cover. The same had also come up with a list of styling and mechanical details.

Soon after, the car had been brought up out in order to check its ability and performance on the Indian roads. After finished testing successfully, the carmaker announced accepting booking for the car while the launch scheduled for January 2017. The Hexa will be powered by a 2.2-litre four-cylinder diesel engine which is currently breathing the new Safari Storme. The base variant of the Hexa will be attached by the Varicor 320 which produces 148 Bhp of power at 4,000 rpm and 320 Nm at 1,700 - 2,700 rpm, while the higher-spec trim will be gifted the Varicor 400 motor under their hood that is capable enough to make run the unit with a massive power of 154 Bhp at 4,000 rpm with a peak torque of 400 Nm at the same rpm. A 5-speed manual, a 6-speed manual or an automatic gearbox will be there to help the engine for transmitting the power to rear wheels only. An AWD (all wheel drive) setup is also there but as an optional unit. 

Driving Modes of Tata Hexa

The automatic gearbox setup will sport four different driving mode - Auto, Comfort, Dynamic and Rough Road. These driving modes will be accessible on both Rear-Wheel Drive and All-Wheel Drive (AWD) units. Further explaining the modes, they will come into effect with the features like engine management system and Electronic Stability Programme (EBS), which enable them to spot the driving conditions in Auto mode. In Comfort mode, the power outcome and gearshifts mainly consider on offering a hassle-free driving experience while the Rough mode will yield your car to stay on the track while driven on the off-road conditions.

Underpinned by the company’s run-of-the SUV Aria platform, the Hexa measures 4788 mm in length, 1791 mm in height, and 1903 mm in width along with a wheelbase of 2850 mm and a ground clearance of 200 mm. Apart from these, it will carry a 60-litres capacity of the fuel tank. Besides, the company will also offer three free services with this SUV - the first one is at 5000kms/3 months, the second one at 10000kms/6 month and the last one at 20,000kms/12 months as well as proffer a warranty of 3 years/1,50,000 km as standard.
