Mercedes Ener-G-Force concept was showcased back in 2012 at the Los Angeles Auto Show Design Challenge. In this challenge participants were asked to develop a police vehicle with 'go anywhere' features for the year 2025. As a result, some students came up with this concept model that has the capability to be driven around anywhere. Since it was just a part of a design challenge, the possibility of making it ready for production was ruled out for the next few years. However, the automaker has hinted that this vehicle might carry hydrogen powered battery along with the 'G-Class' features.
Recently, a man from Jammu & Kashmir, found this Mercedes concept so attractive that he decided to modify his Tata Xenon truck by integrating it with the Ener-G-Force model. The modified vehicle seems to bear a lot of resemblance to the concept model. The front end houses a dual headlight cluster and a muscular bonnet that is shaped like a dome. It also equips lights on the roof and the grille flaunts the company logo.
Further, this transformed vehicle sports multi-spoke alloys, flared wheel arches and tough side bars. Besides this, the portion that carries luggage has got a grey cover and the rear portion flaunts horizontal tail lamps instead of vertical lights. Even though integrating the features of an SUV with a truck does not leave much scope, still the modifier has done a commendable job. When compared to the concept showcased at LA, the modified version lacks at certain portions. However, this effort must be appreciated for the dedication and hard work of the person, who has attempted to create this vehicle.
