The second generation Toyota Fortuner has been launched in Malaysia at the stating cost of RM 1,86,900 or INR 30.99 Lakhs. More wider and longer, it comes with two engine options. The lighter one is powered by a 2.4-litre diesel unit and the heavier one gets propelled by a 2.7-litre petrol unit. The latter will go on sale at the cost of RM 1,99,900 or INR 33.23 Lakhs (Approx).
Some of the important features like, bi-LED projector headlights, 18-inch wheels, daytime running lights with LED support and chrome door belt are integrated with the top-end model. Inside the cabin, it gets touchscreen infotainment system, climate control, leather upholstery. For safety, traction control, ABS with EBD, hill assist control, brake assist system, and seven airbags are loaded that also depends on the variant.

If we talk about the performance, the petrol is good enough to deliver a power of about 165 Bhp at 5,200 rpm and torque of 245 Nm at 4,000 rpm. Where the diesel trim is generating 150 Bhp of power at 3,400 rpm and 400 Nm of torque between 1,600 rpm to 2,000rpm.
