TVS Apache RTR 200 Fi Ethanol Showcased at 2018 Auto Expo

At the ongoing 2018 Auto Expo, the Chennai based auto major, TVS Motors unveiled the ethanol-powered version of its flagship motorcycle, the TVS Apache RTR 200. The variant is entitled as the RTR 200 Fi Ethanol and features green graphics sticker to notify the used fuel will be ‘Ethanol’.

The powertrain is stocked unit that has been altered to tune up with the Ethanol as fuel. Moreover, a Twin-Spray Twin-Port EFI technology is added to the mill in order to supply fuel for the combustion also it helps in returning excellent fuel efficiency. As claimed by the automaker, this E85 version motorcycle is capable of generating the peak power of 21PS @ 8500 rpm along with 18.1Nm of torque @ 7000 rpm. The motorcycle can attain the top speed of 129kmph.

Look wise, there are no changes on the Apache RTR 200 Fi Ethanol, kind of an exact copy. In components, the motorcycle keeps aggressive front end with LED DRLs, muscular fuel tank with extensions, gold finished inverted front forks and sleek LED tail light.

Ethanol is an in-house extracted fuel from the renewable plant sources. It is eco-friendly in nature and emits less carbon as compared to petrol. As the Ethanol is not commercially available in the market. It clearly indicates that the model will not launch in the country anytime soon.
