A 110cc scooter from TVS Motor Company, the Wego has become cheaper by INR 2000 over its pricing. The announced price cut is the resultant of scooter’s sale going down day by day. However, it's pretty surprising when other manufacturers are increasing the price of their respective scooters in the segment. As of now, to opt a base variant Wego you have to spend the sum of INR 50,165 whereas the disc variant will cost you around INR 53,083. Both the prices are exclusive at the Delhi dealerships.
This move of reducing Wego prices by INR 2000, is taken to witness surge in its sales. As the scooter managed to sell only 1901 units in February 2018 as opposed to the rolled out 3402 units in the same period during last year.
Mechanically, TVS Wego gets propelling power from a 109.7cc single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that in association with a CVT automatic gearbox, is capable of generating the maximum power of 7.88 BHP along with 8.4Nm of torque.
Aesthetically, the attributes such as an LED tail-light, a fully digital instrument console, Power and Eco mode indicator and an external fuel cap filler as well, are the major highlights of the TVS Wego.
In the segment, the TVS Wego went into competition with the likes of Honda Activa, Suzuki Let’s and the Hero Maestro Edge.
