UM Motorcycles May Enter Global Market At the Intermot 2016

Remarked as one of the most important conducted automobile events globally, the Intermot 2016 a.k.a the International Motorcycle, Scooter and E-Bike exhibition, is going to witness a series of new products and updated existing models of the world famous brands. Finally, the wait for the biggest moment is going to be an end, as the show will be commenced from tomorrow, October 5 and will continue for 5 days till October 9, 2016, in Cologne, Germany.

Here is an array of models that might mark their presence at this motor show, include reworked KTM Duke 390 with a whole new platform and Euro-IV emission norms complied engine. An adventure tourer offering-BMW G310 GS based on BMW-TVS joint venture developed the G310R. A power cruiser to rival with Ducati Diavel and a cafe racer concept based on the BMW R NineT from the same German automaker’s stable. Apart from this, there will be a lot more products from different brands in diversified categories.

Now put some light as an overview on the American brand-UM Motorcycles, which had established its feet in the Indian two wheeler battleground at the 13th auto event organized in Delhi, early this year. The company has launched three modern classics under Renegade range- the Renegade Commando, Renegade Sport S and the Renegade Classics. The former two are being sold from the authorized UM dealerships and the more premium cruiser, Renegade Classic will be added to the lineup in 2017. The bookings are expected to commence from March and delivered from April next year.

Along with the fresh offerings like the Xtreet and DSR series, the UM global is contemplating to launch its existing products at this approaching Intermot 2016. These new additions contain a streetrunner and the DSR range of dual sport motorcycles. The entry level adventure-UM DSR is available in three engine options between 125cc to 223cc. Built to beat the uneven terrain, the UM DSR comes fitted with the essentials like long travel suspension, upswept exhaust, spoke wheels wrapped with knobby tyres. Overall, the bikes are perfect and highly suitable for the Indian road conditions. In future, if launched in the Indian market, the motorcycle will be pitted against the Royal Enfield Himalayan and upcoming adventure motorcycles from the BMW and KTM end.
