Volkswagen launches Passat GTE sedan at the 2016 Delhi Auto Expo

Volkswagen has finally launched the Passat GTE in the ongoing 2016  Auto Expo. The sedan comes powered with a 1.4 litre gasoline engine, along with an electric motor. The automaker has introduced the hybrid variant of the Passat in the Indian Market, making a good move in the sedan segment. The sedan comes loaded with modern infotainment system with best in class pre-loaded driver assistance features.

The 1.4-litre TSI petrol powermill is capable of producing a maximum power output of 154 bhp. However, the combined power output goes to 215 bhp. The Sedan can be driven up to 50 kms on battery mode. The Passat made its first debut at the 2014 Paris Motor Show. In India, it is likely to compete with popular sedan models like Toyota Camry, Honda Accord, and BMW 3-Series.

Meanwhile, the German automaker has also introduced Ameo and Tiguan at the event. The company aims to make the hybrid engine powered sedan go popular in the country. It might get good consumers in Delhi as the pollution level has become a major issue in the region.
