The Yamaha V-ixion V3 is the street-fighter version of the fully-faired Yamaha R15. The Yamaha V-ixion V3 is currently available in the Indonesian market only. Technically, it is powered by the very same 4-stroke, single-cylinder configuration carrying an engine displacement of 149.8cc. The re-tuned liquid-cooled engine is capable to generate the maximum power of 16.4 BHP, which is greater than the previous version delivering 14.7 BHP. The 149.8cc displaced engine is mated to a 5-speed gearbox.

Talking about the makeover of the Yamaha V-ixion V3, it is a naked sports motorcycle with a little bit fairing accompanying the fuel tank and handle bars. The high-raised handlebars has brought down according to the rider's position given in the motorcycle. The things which it will be sharing with the Yamaha R15 are the engine, chassis and various other technical equipments such as suspensions, instrument cluster. The rider's sitting position has also been changed in the upcoming version, as it is offering carried a single stepped seat instead of the split seat.
The Japanese motorcycle manufacturer is now planning to launch the third generation of the Yamaha R15. The existing Yamaha R15 is directly rivaling with the Honda CBR 150R. And, after the introduction of the Yamaha V-ixion V3, it will be competing against the updated version of the Honda CBR 150R.
