To celebrate the VMAX's 30th Anniversary in the global market, the Yamaha has collaborated with the Cologne, Germany based JVB Moto and it results in the Yamaha VMAX Infrared. The special edition model launched by the manufacturer itself will now be available for sale in the global market, discontinuing the base version. According to the Japanese, the Yamaha VMAX is built over the dragster meets cafe-racer concept. Talking about the VMAX Infrared concept, it has gone through various after market makeover, but retaining the very same technical specifications.

Yamaha-VMAX-Infrared

The Yamaha VMAX Infrared is built around a handmade aluminum sub-frame, custom-made aluminum mud-guard and air-intake scoops. The carbon-fiber has been done over the headlight unit, which is co-ordinating with the front forks. The wheel covers also receives a bit of carbon action. The most attractive part of the motorcycle is the carbon-touch over the fuel tank, which is crafted from under the seat.

Yamaha release says, "The stunning craftsmanship continues with a handmade aluminum subframe crafted from bits of the stock unit and a custom fuel tank placed under the seat, also made from aluminum and holding the same fuel as the standard tank for an unspoiled riding experience." The real manufacturer has given a tribute to Mr. Kenji Ekuan, the designer of the original Yamaha VMAX, who left all of us forever on Saturday. "With the 30th Anniversary of the VMAX and the launch if the Infrared, we would like to pay tribute to Kenji Ekuan for his contribution to the VMAX legend."
