First Nokia Branded Android L Tablet, N1 Declared

A multi-billion dollar deal with Microsoft doesn't mean that Nokia has given up crafting of consumer devices. The multinational corporation has shown off its first Android tablet, called N1 during the Slush 2014 conference on Nov 18, which was held in Helsinki, Finland. At a first glimpse, this Android 5.0 Lollipop-based gadget has astonished the world and neatly contradicted exaggerated rumors about brand's demise.

The brand new handheld is highly reminiscent of an iPad Mini 3 due to inclusion of rounded chassis along with aluminum body with a soft finish. But, it looks more slender than Apple's product (7.5mm) with its 6.9mm of thickness. To take the full advantage of Google's latest OS, tab is comprised with predictive Nokia Z Launcher feature, which provides intuitive user interface.

This novel creation bears a 7.9-inch IPS LED-backlit display with Gorilla Glass 3 protection, which renders a vivid pixel resolution of 2048x1536p. The integration of 64-bit 2.4GHz quad-core Intel Atom Z3580 processor alongside a massive 5300mAh battery makes Nokia N1 much smarter, faster and promising.

To entice the photography lovers, device is armed with 8-megapixel rear autofocus snapper along with a 5-megapixel selfie camera. Hashing about the memory,  it is clubbed with a 2GB RAM along with 32GB of inbuilt storage, but the unavailability of expandable storage could make gloomy to its prospective buyers. Moreover, it bestows Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/n/ac with MIMO, Bluetooth 4.0, Micro-USB with reversible Type-C connector options on the connectivity front.

Notably, N1 has been priced at $249 before taxes that is approximately Rs. 15,400 according to Indian currency. In crazy-competitive tablet market, it will initially roll out in the tech space of China by February 2015. After that, device has been claimed to be commenced in Russia and several European territories.
