When we talk about the thinnest notebook devices, then lots of names come in our mind which meets with the perspective. HP is the one among them and brought a new notebook, named EliteBook Folio 1020 to compete with Lenovo Yoga 3 Pro.

A light weighed and compact device with 1 kg weight and 15.7mm thickness respectively, will be reaching in market with two models. One will weigh 1.2 kg and the special edition will come with 1 kg weigh. HP EliteBook Folio 1020 looks very stylish and premium with its splendid built. The manufacturer has tried to give it the rugged look by making its lid and keyboard deck with magnesium-lithium and coating the carbon in the bottom. So, we can say that device is built for meeting with thee MIL-STD-810G standard.

Making it a travel friendly notebook, Company has reengineered the keyboard to provide optimized and consistent key response. However, absence of pointing stick somehow disappoints users which already ran old EliteBooks like EliteBook Folio 1040. Its 12.5-inch QHD display is capable enough to stand as the biggest contender of Lenovo’s 13 inch notebook, offering 2,560 x 1,440 pixels resolution. EliteBook Folio 1020 will come with touch and non-touch options.

The device is specially designed for keeping the business professionals in mind. Designed to meet with BYOD programs, is claimed as thinnest notebook. It is featured with Intel's Core M processor, 720p webcam, front speakers and HP Noise Reduction Software. When the notebook will hit the market at which price tag, all details are obscure. It is expected that the regular model will make debut in February 2015 and the lightest Special Edition model will show its presence in April 2015.

Earlier the maker had surprised the world by presenting an All-in-One PC named Sprout at $1,899.99 for artists.
