HP Launches Pavilion Wave and Modular Elite Slice PCs at IFA 2016

IFA hasn’t come into impression yet, nor it’s far away to cheer the crowd, in just a matter of time all the updated as well as fresh technologies will be here. However, some media conferences have already got the glimpse of the latest tech before the crowd’s done. Following the big players like Acer and Lenovo, HP lnc. has also announced two of its new desktop PCs namely Pavilion Wave and Modular Elite Slice, which are running on Windows 10 operating system. Both have come up with some specific and most advanced features that will definitely leave you spellbound for a second.


Starting with the Pavilion Wave, which resembles a cylindrical design shape and can be fixed easily into a small place as well as its lightweight design won’t bother you much. Furthemore, it comes equipped with three USB ports, one HDMI port, one USB 3.1 Type-C port, Gigabit Ethernet, single display port and a microphone/headphone jack. Besides, supported with Cortana and two dual microphones, it allows users to communicate with their PCs without peddle hands.  

Having packed with the sixth generation Intel Core i7 quad-core processor, it can manage two 4K screens simultaneously. Well, we don’t need to think twice before saving any data as the PC has been offered with an ample storage power up to 2 TB HDD and an optional dual drive facility with 128GB of SSD as well. The system memory stands up to 16GB DDR4. Apart from these, users can also have an optional AMD Radeon R9 M470 discrete graphics for the entertainment purposes. It is expected to go on sale from September 23 this year on the company’s official site and will make you run for $549.99 (Approx INR 36,800). 

Alongside the Pavilion Wave, the manufacture has also displayed the Elite Slice, which is a first modular commercial device that will take you away from all the frustration of additional components as well as come up with cable less facility. The eyecatcher curved design flaunted in matte black color and also adorned a little with copper accents. As shown in the video, users can also add a speaker, the wireless charging cover and an optional disk drive plate, while the so called unit was only unveiled as snap-ons at first.

“Its modular design features stunning curves in matte black with polished copper accents to streamline workplaces,” the company said. Also added, “The cable-less design allows for a clean work environment because customers do not separate cables plugged into the wall to power each component.”

The audio module here is featured with 360-degree speaker scheme to let you enjoy the music at every corner. In order to give you best security option, the device has also been integrated with a fingerprint sensor. What’s more over the module is a Wi-Fi connectivity,  wireless charging for your smartphone and capacitive one touch buttons facility. As far as the dimensions are concerned, it measures only 6.5 x 1.38 x 6.5 inches and weighs merely 2.31 pounds.

Under the hood, the Elite Slice houses five processor based on intel core technology, which lies in the buckets of dual core i3-6100T to the quad core i7-6700T. Expected to be launched by the end of this month, the device has been tagged at the minimum price of $699 (Almost INR 46,800) and can go up to $949 (roughly INR 63,500) for the additional combos.
