Panasonic goes more Efficacious with Refurbished Toughpad 4K Rugged Tablet

The elephantine-like Panasonic Toughpad 4K tablet has gone more enhanced in specs with a refreshed model. The leading tech company in consumer electronics industry has recently knocked everyone’s socks off, refreshing its year old rugged and hulk device. And, the biggest enticing part to stagger you is its price which is just half from its original model’s $5,999.

It’s odd 20-inch display seems quite big for a tablet, but the ruggedness this device offers is just ineffable. This refreshed version has got Intel's 5th Generation Broadwell processor. However, it tremendously offers 4K screen resolution.

The tech giant is looking toward the video professionals and to entice them, a HDMI 2.0 port has been added. It will let them to see contents from external sources as well. Its ruggedness is the main feature of this Toughpad, simply matches with its name. According to Panasonic statement, "The new HDMI 2.0 input, alongside other connectivity options such as USB 3.0, Intel Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.0 (class 1), Ethernet and Mini DisplayPort output, allow professionals to connect a greater range of peripherals and tools directly to the tablet for more efficient workflows."

It is said to launch in July 2015 at $2,999 – less in price, improved in specs. We have received the Broadwell chip to power this ruggedized tablet, but we have no idea about the battery. However, it is said that Broadwell keeps the caliber to deliver more efficient result thn the first generation’s processor. The new Panasonic Toughpad has 8GB of DDR3-1333 RAM, NVIDIA GeForce GT 745M graphics and 256GB SSD storage. It bears a 720p front imager and is powered by Windows 8.1 Pro platform.

In its original model, screen hadn’t scaled properly due to its 4K display. Icons were too small its huge 20-inch 4K screen and, tapping them with finger becomes trickier. We wish that Panasonic has removed this issue in the revamped version expectantly.
