Health Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad give signals about relaxing Clinical Trial norms

Union Health Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad said that Government was pondering regarding relaxing norms for Clinical Trials. Clinical Trials is biomedical research studies on human subjects. He said harsh regulation made by us for clinical trials drop half of the clinical trials. He spoke about this while he unveils Baxter Global Research Center.

Union Health Ministry made massive changes to the norms of the Drugs and Cosmetics Act, 1940 which also govern clinical trial. Government demonstrates a contract between subject and the company to the drug controller as obligatory. It is just for all the liabilities hold by the company if any injury or death of any drug trial subject.

He also said those 71 cancer institutes have been approved by Union Cabinet in country.
