Acer Unveils a Range of Smart Products Before IFA 2016 Begins

Acer the Taiwanese firm has taken control of IFA 2016 event almost completely. The firm has unwrapped a hell lot of new products to keep its users interested. To start with, it has unveiled two smartphones and a tablet. Both of the Android smartphones are scheduled to arrive in November and December, whilst the tablet under the name of Iconia Talk S is expected just next month. All the devices will be made available in EMEA (Europe, the Middle East and Africa) region only for now.

The first of the two smartphones i.e, Acer Liquid Z6 has been priced at Rs 8,900 (EUR 119) which allows it to be called an entry-level smartphone. It features a 5-inch HD IPS display operating on Android Marshmallow v6.0 OS, gives a resolution of 720x1280 pixels and is powered by a 64-bit 1.25GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6737 processor paired with Mali-T720 GPU.

The GSM-device additionally offers 1GB RAM and 8 GB of onboard storage that allows it to get expanded using an external microSD card. On the camera front, the device offers an 8-megapixel rear camera with a 2-megapixel camera on the front side for selfies. Lastly, the device houses a 2000mAh battery, dimensionally measures 145.5x72.5x8.5mm and along with other standard connectivity support it also offers 4G LTE.

The second of the lot, i.e, the Liquid Z6 Plus smartphone is quoted at a price tag of Rs 18,600 (EUR 250) and features a 5.5-inch IPS display giving a resolution of 1080x1920 pixels with 2.5D protection. It is powered by a 1.3GHz MediaTek MT6753 octa-core processor with Mali T720 GPU and sports 3GB of DDR3 RAM. The device comes with 32GB of inbuilt storage with expansion support of up to 128GB using an external microSD card.

Acer Liquid Z6 Plus

On the photography front, it includes a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, coupled with a 5-megapixel selfie camera. The handset operates on latest Android v6.0 Marshmallow OS and comes equipped with a fingerprint scanner under the home button. It also packs a 4080mAh battery and supports 4G LTE. The Liquid Z6 Plus measures 153.6x75.4x8.5mm and carries a weight of 168 grams.

Last but not the least, Acer also launched the new budget voice-calling tablet under the moniker of Iconia Talk S. The new tablet has bee evaluated at Rs 12,600 (EUR 169) and wears a Black and Gold design. The tablet operates on Android v6.0 Marshmallow OS, sports a 7-inch HD display and is powered by a 1.3GHz MediaTek MT8735 quad-core processor with Mali-T720 GPU. Additionally, the device also comes equipped with 2GB RAM and offers 32GB of internal storage again with expansion support up to 128GB.

Acer Iconia Talk S

Optics on the tablet includes a 13-megapixel rear camera coupled with a 2-megapixel selfie camera. The device houses a 3400mAh battery has a built-in mono speaker and supports 4G LTE. The tablet measures 191.7x101x9.35mm in dimensions and carries a weight of 260 grams which makes it a little heavier.
