Ahead of MWC 2016, LG Unveils Mobile Case for LG G5

South Korean smartphone maker LG is all set to unveil LG G5 at the pre-MWC 2016 keynote event to be held on February 21. But today in a turn of events, LG unveiled LG G5's Quick Cover case that offers all the advantages which were offered by its previous siblings, with a tinch of some additional features. Along with LG G5, now even the cover would be showcased at the MWC 2016.

The newly launched cover is a semi-transparent mesh cover case that offers similar touch function as offered by the case of LG K10. The advantage of having this feature is that it allows the users to take calls, control alarm settings without the need of opening the cover. Alongside, it also displays the date, time and notifications even if the cover is completely closed.

In its official statement, LG stated that it has incorporated a 'unique' film with a glossy metallic finish to enhance the look and feel of the cover and unlike the previous LG Quick Cover cases, the upcoming LG G5 cover case sports a rectangular window instead of a circle. Quite recently the smartphone underwent benchmarking test scoring a score of 2248 in single-core and 50161 in the multi-core segment.

The test further revealed some insight into the innards of the smartphone as well like, it comes with a codename LGE LG-F700S (thought to be 'S' for SK Telecom variant) and is expected to run on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow. Also, it is expected to come with 4GB of RAM fully powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor.

The rumors also state that the LG G5 will sport a 16-megapixel rear camera with a 135-degree wide-angle view along with a ticker display same as LG V10. It will also feature a 5.3-inch QHD display with 32GB of inbuilt storage and comes in a metal design ditching its plastic design completely offering a removable battery alongside. It might also feature a 'Magic Slot' that is said to be linked with some kind of hardware expansion.
