Asus has showcased two new smartphones for Chinese market. These smartphones are scheduled under the Zenfone series. Asus has specially targeted the Chinese market and they do not have any plans to launch these devices in other geometry of the world. Zenfones were launched in CES 2014 and the specifications of these phones are matter of rumour.
The Zenfone 4 and Zenfone 5 are the smartphones which will run on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean. These devices are upgradable to Android 4.4 KitKat. The best part of these phones is the operating system and the amount of RAM beneath the system.
With a 4-inch WVGA (800 x 480 pixel) resolution display, the camera feels comfortable to show the images clicked by its 5 mega pixel sensor. It has 1 GB on board RAM and 4GB internal storage which can be expandable upto 64 GB. Quad-Thread Hyper-Threading Technology assisted with dual-core 1.2GHz Intel Atom Z2520 processor works great to generate familiar output. The low part of the device is battery which reflects only 1,170 mAh of power.
Zenfone 5 is a class above to Zenfone 4 in all aspects. Quad-Thread Hyper-Threading technology is running this on this phone as well but with a higher unit. This device has a 2 GHz dual-core 2GHz Intel Atom Z2580. 8 GB internal memory along with 1 GB RAM pushes the phone hard under the operation. This internal memory is expandable upto 64 GB. The bigger screen, sized at 5 inches, outputs pictures with maximum resolution of 720 pixels. It is based on IPS technology and available with a big 2050 mAh battery. Both the phone is available in 5 color options; black, white, red, yellow, blue and gold. Asus Zenfone 4 and Zenfone 5 are priced at around 100$ and 150$ respectively.
