Asus Zenfone 5Z was initially showcased at Mobile World Congress (MWC) in February this year and it is the first smartphone that runs on Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC. While showcasing the Asus Zenfone 5Z at MWC event the Taiwanese smartphone manufacturer company had promised that smartphone would be available for purchase from 15th June which is now confirmed.
As per the official teaser which has been posted by the Taiwanese company on Japanese Twitter account suggested that the Zenfone 5Z will be coming to the market on 15th June in Japan.
Zenfone 5Z is said to feature a metallic unibody design along with glass panels on both sides. It bears a 6.2-inch IPS LCD display, screen resolution of 2246 x 1080 pixels and 90 percent screen-to-body ratio. It runs on top of the line Android 8.0 Oreo OS with the new ZenUI 5.0.
The smartphone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC, coupled with 6GB/8GB of RAM and 64GB/128GB/ 256GB internal storage with an option to extend further up to 2TB by using a memory card. Asus Zenfone 5Z is available for pre-bookings on the Asus website and currently, it is available in Space Silver and Shiny Black Color options. In Japan, it is priced at t JPY 75,384 (approximately Rs. 46,100) and currently, 6GB RAM+128GB internal storage has been listed in the Asus Website.
The Zenfone 5Z has dual rear cameras consisting 12- megapixel Sony IMX363 primary sensor offering an aperture of f/1.8, 83-degree field of view, 24mm equivalent focal length in 35mm film camera, and a Softlight LED flash and 8- megapixel secondary camera featuring 120-degree wide-angle lens, an aperture of f/2.2 and a 12mm equivalent focal length in a 35mm film camera. At the front, the smartphone sport an 8-megapixel selfie- shooter with features such as an aperture of f/2.0 aperture, 84-degree field of view, and a 24mm equivalent focal length in a 35mm film camera.
The front and rear camera setup come with Electronic Image Stabilization (EIS). In terms of security, the smartphone has Face Unlock feature as well as the rear-mounted fingerprint sensor. The Asus Zenfone 5Z is equipped with real-time beautification features.
The Asus Zenfone 5Z has FM radio, 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth v5.0, NFC, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, GPS/ A-GPS, USB Type-C, and 3.5mm headphone jack as connectivity options. Under the hood, it packs a 3300mAh battery with the support of AI charging technology. The Zenfone 5Z also bundled with audio features such as dual speakers, dual NEX Smart Amp and Hi-Res audio.
